Living Purposed

And Then There Was One, For Now.

The Truth and Nothing but…

If you have been following The purposed Culture you may have noticed a consistent inconsistency in which we are on point, posting 2-3 blogs a week followed by a week of not posting at all.  Consistency is something Jasmine and I have struggled with as we are still trying to find the balance between full time jobs, family and other obligations.  We are aware there is no excuse as other bloggers seem to balance it all just fine.  Although I can not provide you with a clear cut answer as to why we just can’t seem to get our act together (rolling eyes emoji).  I can give you insight as to why our most recent hiatus occurred.

Jasmine and I are believers in Christ and our relationship with Him fueled our passion to create The Purposed Culture.  We believe we were created with a purpose to fulfill and at some point we (children of God) have to ask ourselves hard hitting questions. “What is God calling me to do, pertaining to my purpose” “What exactly is my purpose and how does it look in my everyday life?”  Those are questions we hope to help many answer as TPC grows as a platform; however it is impossible for us to do that, if we do not know those answers pertaining to our own lives.  For that reason, Jasmine decided it was best if she took time away from the Purposed Culture to get closer to God and answer those questions for herself.

Of course as a business partner, it was unsettling and left me to push through without any preparation or plan, but as Jasmine’s sister in Christ and fellow “purpose pursuer” I couldn’t be more supportive, proud and thrilled that she would take such steps to grow in her walk with Jesus Christ.

What does this mean for The Purposed Culture?

It means that we are a living testament to what we “preach” and that the purpose journey is truly that, a journey.  Your purpose may shift from each season of your life, it may evolve as you grow and it most definitely will provoke you to ask yourself questions, requiring you to make decisions that maybe uncomfortable at first but so worth it.

This also means that as of now,  The purposed Culture is being powered by myself, alone.  This is a responsibility that I was not expecting but plan to take on with much care and with you, our readers in mind.  I will continue to post and live up to The Purposed Culture mission. I hope that whomever reads this will continue to support the platform as it evolves.  If you happen to know Jasmine personally or follow her on social media, please take the time to commend her and encourage her on her journey or feel free to leave her a message in the comments below.

May this post encourage you to pursue purpose and God’s heart.
